Tips

- Regularly cut the ends.

- Hydrate the lengths. A well-hydrated hair will keep its elasticity; hence it will be less breakable.

- Avoid frictions. When you sit down, put your hair on the side or behind the back of the chair. Concerning clothes, avoid acrylic and other synthetic matter because they favor static electricity production when they are more or less in direct contact with the hair. This also favors dryness; hence split ends.

- Avoid violent combing or combing on damp hair because it makes the hair more breakable.

- Swimming pool and beach are a nightmare because chlorine and salted water damage hair. The best thing to do is to avoid getting your head wet, of course... but it is not real fun... So, instead of shutting yourself up in order to protect your hair, you can grease it with jojoba oil before bathing. This way, they will be well protected.

- Too much sun exposure devitalizes the hair. It becomes fragile as if it was bleached! Ladies, before sun exposure, you have to protect your hair with a white or clear piece of cloth in order to reflect the rays (the best would be cotton or silk), a hat or some oil like sesame oil that is anti-UV. As for you, gentlemen, we dissuade you to wear a silk scarf that would risk prejudicing your virility. Also note that very cold temperatures are neither nice to our hair.

- Too many cares or not adapted cares suffocate the hair and risk giving the inverse effect from the one researched.

- Banish chemical products and accessories that burn the hair. They damage the hair structure and finally, destroy it. So, even if we sound like extremists, hop, forget about dyes, permanent waves, bleaching, blow-drying, flat ironing, chemical shampoos.

- Cares, dietary complements are all nice and sweet but if you have an erratic lifestyle, they will not be of any help. In order to have hair in good health, it is sufficient to have good life hygiene, without cigarettes, without alcohol, with a healthy diet, sufficient and regular sleep. If you start a cure, do it for at least three months because if you are lacking something, it will first fill your lacks. The effect on your hair will be noticeable after that.

- You can find the vitamins that your hair need in your food. For this, avoid saturated fats. Prefer fruits and vegetables, food rich in group B vitamins like royal jelly, whole cereals, brewer’s yeast, wheat germ, almonds, nuts, dairy products, avocados, bananas, etc. Also consume food that is rich in group A vitamins like egg’s yellow, dairies, sea fish, poultry, carrots, green vegetables, etc. And food rich in zinc like fish, sea fruits, egg’s yellow, brewer’s yeast, dairies, etc.
Proteins and zinc help keratin synthesis, iron allow roots oxygenation and B vitamins are indispensable to hair follicle cell renewal.

Domestic accidents

We have to take care of our little hair

- Be careful with buttons or zippers!

- Be careful with door handles! (No’s note: hum... my specialty...)

- Be careful with fire! When cooking, other people’s cigarettes, etc.

- Be careful with escalators if your hair is very long!

- Be careful while fixing things!

- Be careful with friction on chair’s backs!

- Be careful with chewing gums! (just in case, massaging with peanut butter has proved itself)

- Be careful with babies’ hands!

- Be careful when shutting your car’s door!

- Be careful in public transportation! (Isa’s note: I get my hair pulled there very often!)

- Be careful if you go to concerts where the public is not very delicate!
